Why NSW Buyers Choose a Verified Breeder Over a Listing

Kitten scams are documented, not rare. Unverifiable listings, overseas-based sellers and breeders who vanish after a deposit are patterns that surface again and again in Australian buyer forums, and they cost people real money and real heartache.

Mountain Hollow Ragdolls has been breeding and raising Ragdolls in Yetholme, NSW, since 2010, with a focus on producing healthy, affectionate kittens in a loving family environment. and is registered with Australian National Cats Inc., a registration you can check independently. For buyers across Greater Sydney, the ACT and regional NSW, meeting your kitten in person before you commit is a real option, which removes any need to rely on an unknown interstate source.

Verifiable registration and the chance to meet your kitten first. That combination is what separates a confident purchase from a stressful one.

How Reserving a Mountain Hollow Kitten Works

At Mountain Hollow Ragdolls, we believe choosing your kitten should be an informed decision, with clear communication and transparency throughout the adoption process.

Sneak-peek photos are shared when kittens are around two to three weeks old. As they grow, we provide further information about their development, including their gender, colour and veterinary health checks, so you have a clearer picture of the kitten you’re considering. Whatsapp video call consultations are also available to help you get to know your kitten and ask questions before making a commitment.

You may enquire about available kittens or join our waiting list for future litters. Once a suitable kitten is confirmed, we’ll explain the reservation process, deposit requirements and next steps. Kittens typically go to their new homes at 12 to 14 weeks of age, following their required veterinary care, vaccinations, desexing, microchipping and socialisation.

Our aim is to make the adoption experience transparent, supportive and reassuring from your first enquiry through to collection day. You may learn more about each step on our Ragdoll kitten adoption process page.

What Every Kitten Comes Home With

Every Mountain Hollow kitten leaves with documented health records, not just a verbal assurance. Kittens are vaccinated, microchipped, parasite-treated and desexed before joining their new family homes. Each kitten collected in person also receives a starter pack with food, a familiar blanket and helpful care information. For kittens travelling by pet courier, starter packs are included where transport arrangements allow. We also share photo updates as your kitten grows, so you can follow their development before collection.

Support doesn’t stop at handover. We provide lifetime breeder support, remaining available to answer questions about feeding, grooming, behaviour and settling into a new home. This ongoing guidance is especially reassuring for first-time Ragdoll owners navigating those early weeks. If you’re new to the breed, our guide for first-time Ragdoll owners and kitten care guide offer practical advice on preparing your home, establishing routines and caring for your new companion.

Who We Place Kittens With

Our kittens are cherished by families, singles and retirees across Greater Sydney, the ACT, regional NSW, Victoria and Queensland, including repeat adopters and veterinary professionals who value our breeding lines. Kittens are placed as companions for loving homes, not as breeding or show stock.

Traditional and Cherubim Ragdolls

We raise both Traditional and Cherubim Ragdolls, with silky coats and the breed’s classic gentle temperament. Traditional cats carry the iconic blue eyes, while Cherubim cats show aqua, green or gold eyes that truly stand out. You can read more about the varieties, colours and coat patterns in our guide to the Ragdoll breed.
